Helmet wearers get out there and stand tall. I would hope that non helmet wearers would have enough common ...

I know that I should really keep my mouth shut here but I really can't. That previous post makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. First off the analogy of wearing a rain coat in the shower has absolutle no possible parallel to pole vaulting with a helmet. It just goes to show tha...

There aren't any foreign athletes because this is the national pole vault summit. As in our nations summit. It would be wrong to go to russias pole vault summit and compete for america. Thats almost like going to another nations nationals.

I feel that a follow up to my good things to say is now appropriate. Bad things to say: 1)They are pole vault poles but I'm just using them as a way to sneak C4 onto the plane. 2)Its an anal probe. 3)Inside of this tube that I carry on my shoulder is the worlds largest fountain pen 4)They are unused...

I think I heard this story from pat manson a couple of years ago at the summit. That or Don Hood senior told me. This pro vaulter had just come back from a meet in Europe and he was rather groggy. He picked up his poles and proceeded to leave the airport. He stepped on the escilator with the oples o...

I have kept these thoughts to close company in many conversations and now I have the ablility to get them out to the vault community. I am a helmet wearer. My freshmen year in high school I broke my arm because I was vaulting on a pole that was larger than I should have been on. My coach was a great...

Good things to say: 1)Its my boa constrictor, it has a back condition and I have to fly it to the vet. 2)Its an experimental lighting rod.....I sure hope there isn't a storm where we are flying to. 3)Yup, its a hang glider. 4)To be honest with you I don't know. Some guy just asked me to hold it. 5)I...

I vaulted in those spikes for the last two years because that is what my school bought and trust me you can't lose by picking nike or reebok. The adidas spike does not put you on your forefoot like the reeboks and the nikes. they are also uncomfortable and I had problems with the heel picking up out...
