my coach made a pretty cool training device. it is a pulley where you strap your feet in on one end of the rope, and hold onlt a piece of pole on the other end of the rope. it makes it so you can get inverted and push off the pole and everything without falling, its pretty cool. looks like some kind...

i have always been told to try and keep my bottom arm at a right angle. not locked out, but not right up against the pole either, just a little resistance.

i run cross country in the fall, so i would probably do 800 or mile on track. not a big fan of running in circles, but i doubt i could pick up another totally new sport, and be any good. lol

i am currently working on switching from an 11' 120 to a 12' 120(and then hopefully on to a 12'125) but even that is not the easiest switch. it took me about a week to get the power i needed to get my grip higher, and get decent penetration, and im still not getting much bend out of the bigger pole....

i have decided that i straightening my hair helps me jump. crazy i know, but still, i think its true. i also have to do at least one pole plant when standing at the end of the runway and i check my grip like 18 times. Also, purple gatorade. blue just doesnt cut it. :P
