12 years of gymnastics before starting pole vault..and another 4 years of gymnastics while i also did pole vault. i didnt even want to pole vault my freshman year and the track coaches forced me to try it because i had done gymnastics for so long. im pretty happy they forced me to try it now. haha

well i think somebody had video of some girls doing it before i got on team..but idk for sure..ill have to ask around.

Allie Pace of Geneva will be really good this year.
Megan Weller should be good, theres a bunch of girls that went to the north central camp this summer that improved a lot. But i definitely think Allie will be one of the top girls to watch.

here in illinois..every big meet we have had it has rained. last week got cancelled for thunderstorms and tomorrow is conference, and what a surprise, thunderstorms are likely. we have had one good weather meet out of like..8 or so.

its very difficult to break your heel, especially if you are wearing shoes. ive only seen it twice in gymnastics. but both of my heels are bad from gymnastics and whenever i hurt them i ice a ton. another thing you should do, as much as it might hurt, is to massage your heel. i was told if you dont ...

in illinois--at the meets ive gone to as long as you dont hit the mat its ok. but i dont know if they do it differently at state or anything. they are pretty lenient tho. some girl left the ground with both feet--skimmed the mat and they still didnt count it as a miss. but whatev...
