Why isn't anyone complaining about the coach of the girl who got dq'd? It's evident that a lack of knowledge in the rules of this event led to the young lady being allowed to wear the bracelet. Whether she wore a bracelet or vaulted on a pole that was below her weight or exceeded the allowed time fo...

The state rule states that you must compete in 4 meets, it does not specify that you have to participate in any particular event at those 4 meets.

If 6 inches looks like 4 inches, then 15 feet would only look like 10 feet, that ought to take out the fear from this sport.

i agree with that. and one more thing, im not sure if your in HS or college, but just watch out for that 13 8 grip on a spirit, i konw that the weight label is placed 6" down from the top of the pole... So if you were vaulting on, let's say, a 14' 180, you would need to go to a 15' 165 for the same relative stiffness. Yo...

Congrats to Conrad and Rusty. It's refreshing to hear about those kinds of things. Many times we get caught up in who jumped the highest in the nation, when a PR at 9'6" is just as important to the sport as a PR at 16'4.75". Keep up the great work Conrad.
