Re: Arkansas men vacate 2 national titles in track & field

Personally, I think these "penalties" are a load of manure and here is why: In order to follow my logic we must establish these 2 facts: 1. NCAA rules are in place to keep things fair and must be followed by all universities. 2. The definition of cheating is " a violation of rules&quo...

I heard that rumor too. I don't know if it is true or not, but I do know that Haynie attended the SEC outdoor championship meet as a spectator this year and was hanging with the USC people. USC also signed a German vaulter named Marvin Reitze (orginally signed with OU until they cut their program) w...

Seems like the dominant theme is that most people dislike the regional system. I'm not a fan either, and I'm not sure that I can add much to the topic.... but as for "plotting and planning".... the coaches aren't the only ones doing it.... I'm almost ashamed to tell this story.... but I ow...

I heard that... but I also heard he was smokin' 5.50 in warm-ups....just a thought... I used to get a little anxious/nervous and I wasn't ever even considered as a contender for a title

Didn't Scott fail to make finals last year too? And I wonder if the pressure of being ranked #1 at his first NCAA meet got to Colwick?

Yall better watch out for my boy Joe Berry... he's been on a roll!

Go Vols!

Goodluck Chip! I haven't heard any of these rumors either but that was a very classy way to clear things up. I'm sad to hear that you will be retiring from the vault, but I admire the way you have handled your injury situation. You had a remarkable career and I enjoyed competing with you at the NCAA...

I don't mind that approach either. I'm a fan of starting a few bars lower with 20-30cm increases. Virginia Tech is usually very good at planning this type of meet indoors. However, you still may run into time constraints with the warm-up period and sometimes will still encounter extremely lengthy va...
