Both Gill and UCS are legal, don't let them tell you otherwise, I have a UCS and have seen both, UCS is by far better for the vaulter. its more work installing but your vaulters will prefer that the collar does not go inside the box making it smaller and more difficult to vault. UCS is the better ch...

don't recommend using a cracked pole ever or drilling into one, Ive watched poles shatter from something small like a spike hole. also if a district, regional, or state official sees it or is aware they will most likely deem it unusable.

word of advise, a sliding box is a bad drill, teach bad habits and I've seen people get hurt doing it. teach them the correct way. do wall drills, stubby pole drills, pool drills if possible. Ive talked to many experts and they all talk bad about sliding boxes

Okay I graduated 2 years ago and was jumping on a 14' 158 and going 12'9" in regionals I snapped the pole and went to our 14' 160 pacer 3 (old pole I also weighed 145 and was 5'11) and went 13'3" But I always used a 7 step,, let me state that speed is key to the vault for one, I can't see ...
