I believe Maxim Tarasov was the most efficient vaulter. His takeoff and inversion was probably the most efficient with multiple 6.0m vaults at much less speed and power as other 6.0m class vaulters. I can appreciate that repetition is needed, and also agree that vaulting builds confidence. But changes, and improveents are not made on the runway, they are made by simplifing motor movements, and training responses.
