Re: pole vault is quiet in Missouri ???
1yeldud1- An issue came up this weekend at Class 2 District 1. A coach argued that athletes' who have entered the competition after passing 3 heights and getting the 2min warmup then could pass another 3 heights receive another 2 min warmup. I've known it to be that once an athlete has entered the c...

Re: NCAA Rule Change for Vault Box Collars
Quick question. Do you also sell the ASTM 'Bodyguard' collar with the flaps that cover the box?

Anyone Know Anything About This Spike?
I've been seeing this spike a lot lately, but I can't find it anywhere and none of the stores know anything about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I know it's not a Christmas tree, but that's what it reminds me of. The length is 3/8 in.

Re: Rule Question
Just curious...if the vaulter cannot touch the pole until after it has fallen back away from the cross bar and the vault has been declared good, then the vault in this video is a scratch??? Wouldn't that add insult to injury?

Re: Bunge placement at District sectional and state meets
Sorry so late to post. 1yeldud1 hit it on the head, but let me add this--the boys were warming up for too long. All of them were slowing down and slipping from sweaty hands. Sometimes warming up works against us. Also, Missouri officials have our hands tied. We cannot do things like weigh in athlete...

Re: Bunge placement at District sectional and state meets
I was there when that incident happened. I agree with Becca. If the standards are pushed back, the jumper is more likely to land back in the pit. There were more forces at play with the vault, other than the bungee...

Re: Bunge placement at District sectional and state meets
Our area coaches agreed not to use the bungee for warmup. The wording in the book is too controversial. My opinion is that if the state is going to use it, put it the midpoint in seed heights. I think that will serve the greater good.

Re: Important: Latest News about labels
I had a quick question for all those NFHS Rule pros out there. Is the old Cat-a-pole label legal? The one that's vertical on the pole and silver? I've been working on getting my state association to make a decision, but they just can't seem to. Depending who you talk to, it is or it isn't. I didn't ...

Re: heaviest pole
I think I got one of the biggest poles made by my favorite pole manufacturer. I have an 13'1" Essx 242 lb. The flex is 7.7
Gotta love Essx. :-)

Re: pole vault pit for sale in north carolina
Hi! One of the local schools had PV back when but a tornado carried the mats away. I'm trying to help them bring the sport back. If you could send me some pics, I'd love to take them to the school's athletic director. My email address is: aamsden@semosportsweb.com.
Thanks!

The PVX is currently the featured pictures at http://www.semosportsweb.com/. Just for all those who are curious. Only 19 pics are posted. There will be another site soon that has pics from the other explosions as well.
