The pit I jump on was ripped right in the middle behind the box. what we did was repair the original cover as best we could, then take another piece of the vinyl material and sew that over that. we know a seamstress with a heavy duty machine though. so maybe the fishing line will work for you.

Just trying to get some input... My vault on the 15'6'' pole was very poor, as for the movement to vertical. I fixed that later in practice but forgot to film it!!

Maybe you should talk to my coach.... Our pit is an old non-legal pit that is to small... that is until we slapped a high jump pad on one side and bought a new cover!
