NCAA rule question???
Hi everyone, I beleive there is a rule for high school track that you cannot start trainning for the season before a certain date. Is there such a rule in the NCAA? That you could not, for instance, start vaulting in practice before a certain date before the indoor season? Anyone could comment about...

Re: trampoline
Hi, What we see on the video is called the " Russian bar" ( barre russe...). As a matter of fact, I sold many old 16' to circus people at the end of the 80's. Sometimes, they chop those poles to 10', sometimes they strap two togeter. Now, le cirque du soleil buy their own poles at the same...

Re: trampoline
Kirk, Well, In 1972, I was a 14 years old young vaulter ( 10' PB then ) and I saw you jump 16' in Montréal ( Etiene-Desmarteau track ). The meet was the pacific games or something like that. I know at the time, you were already vaulting around 5.30-5.35m. Me and my vaulting buddies were very impress...

Oh yes, I was a the world master championships in...

Re: pole vault and cirque du soleil
Hi, Indeed, people from le cirque du soleil thought about using the pole vault for their shows. Since their headquarters and main trainining center is in Montréal, I was contacted by them to coach their acrobats and some of their coaches how to pole vault ( at the end of 2006). So I work with 5-6 co...

Ariane Beaumont-Courteau
Well we wished she would have cleared 13'11...Actualy she jumped with the guys, cleared 3.95m ( 12-11 1/2) but tried 4.25m (13'11 1/4) after. This would have been an outdoor canadian JUNIOR record ( curently 4.20m, held by Gabriella Duclos-Lasnier). She will have a few more meets to try it; Canada g...
