Would someone please define these 2 terms "topping out" and "blowing thru". Thank you for any feed back.

I can't speak from experience of using many different poles, but my son uses Essx and we have had great results. Bruce has been a great help and the poles have always got to us on time. Would highly reccomend them to any vaulter.

I saw Trey win the AL HS Indoor Championship several years ago in the PV and Hurdles. I was disappointed when he got injured late in the outdoor season. In the early 80's we were still using one of the triangular metal bars (whose idea was it to make a crossbar with straight edges?). As a friend was going over the bar his forehead came down and the bar spit his eyebrow open. He had to have stitchs. The crossbar stayed up.

Does anyone know how John Pennel died. He was only 53 when he passed away.

John Pennel set the WR 9 times over a 6 to 7 year period. Only Bubka has set it more times (I think). Alabama has 6 classifications. You get to state by finishing in the top 3 at your sectional meet. There is also a few wildcards available. At state meet the height starts at 6' for girls and 9' for boys.
