Re: Shayla Ballentine Article
Due to a recent rut spanning the past two weeks I find myself extremely frustrated and disappointed in my inability to jump anymore. Something in my mind tells me I can't at the last second every single time and my senior year is running out. My dad just talked to a guy at our church who is a sports...

Re: Mental Block
That makes a lot of sense. I've been stupidly running over and over with no change. Would I have to straight pole from a 3?

Mental Block
I am a senior and this is my third year vaulting. My PR is only 11'6", but around here the competition isn't too good so its decent. My problem is that, every once and a while, I develope a mental block. This is the second or third time this has happend to me, the other being right before and d...

Re: Getting Inverted
I do the same thing. I never swing all the way to inversion. I get halfway, see the bar, and continue my jump horizontally rather than vertically. I also need help fixing this problem.

Re: Terrible Technique
Yeah, we train together and help each other, but are kinda rivals in every sport we do. I mean we don't like fight and stuff, I just meant that we weren't really friends and that we are both competitive. We push each other by trying to work harder than the other.

Terrible Technique
This is my second year vaulting in HS. I started my sophomore year and due to the lack of poles was forced to straight pole. I also was coach less. I only managed to get 8'6" and was extremely disappointed with myself. I qualified for state, but got disqualified for weighing over the poles weig...

LTB: Used pit with standards
We have a nice pit where I practice, but I am so competitive that I feel I need a pit at home to really get in the time I want vaulting. I have a pretty limited budget so I am fine with any used pit as long as it has everything I need and is less < $500. I realize that is really cheap for pits, but ...

Re: LTB: Used copy of BTB2
Well, this is my second year vaulting. My first year I had a coach who was good, but not always there. He's no longer with us, and I never quite learned proper technique. I made some extra money today and now have enough for the book/dvd combo and hope it will help. I appreciate the help and plan on...
