Pole Grip to height efficiency

Re: How am I doing? 13' bungee
It doesn't feel like hes tapping you much, but you said that he tapped you in almost all your jumps that day, so how would you know? Work on being behind the pole and upright and extended before you swing. I have videos of all the jumps that day. I didn't even know he was tapping me until I looked ...

Re: How am I doing? 13' bungee
I don't think he was worried at all because i had all the previous jumps with that pole and i made it in comfortably with him doing that same tap on every jump. I have asked someone why and what they said was that it provides the vaulter with the security of getting in okay. Again this is...

Re: How am I doing? 13' bungee
That coach is Anthony Curran at UCLA. I think you might know who he is? He did not tap very hard, or so it seems but i have no trouble getting in on that pole as it is fairly small. ( I personally don't like being tapped...) I don't think the tap affected my take off very much. I don't know who put ...

Re: Push Off Help
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w0i6Jlblsw look at 3:04 after that position the vault should be near effortless and the handstand is only a direct result of the energy put into the pole and not the vaulter attempting to handstand? is that correct and is pole flex number a direct correlation between ...

Push Off Help
I am getting inverted completely but cannot seem to be able to get into a handstand and have descent push off the top. I focus on "harvesting" the poles energy into my top hand when inverted and sliding my hand up my thigh (toward my head) but i cant seem to get the transition to full hand...

Optimal Grip
Is there a direct conversion of stiff pole grip height to optimal grip height on a bending pole. For example lets say someone can rotate a pole just past vertical with good take off technique holding at a height of 13 feet from a given # of steps.......I believe if the number of steps is a constant,...
