2 of the 5 male vaulters at our local high school also run hurdles. I went to a small high school in Maine, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I graduated at 5'-10" and 145#, was a self taught vaulter, had no coaching till late in my senior year, I didn't gain any height from that 1 2hour...
