This is a berth at the world championship we are talking about here...say what you will about vaulter's missing or underperforming, but the fact remains that if you don't clear it, height of the bar is an issue. Is Brad Walker some kind of crazy person or what? What could possibly be gained by passing at the lower height? He's obviously the top vaulter in the US lately, but his decision making and consistency is very questionable.
