By DAMON SMITH The Kansas City Star

Ouch. Hmmm, so he goes to HS 5-6 years early than he was planning. Sounds like the working conditions at Nebraska may have played a role in this.

no word yet, all all we know is there are alot of applicants for the job, and the vaulters have been promised to be in on the decision, and get to talk to the finalists for the job. Hard part is rick was just as good of a multi's coach as he was a vault coach. Big shoes to fill!!!

ya, that it sounds like he will be a difficult person to replace..

ALSO... that is awesome that the vaulters get to have a 'say-so' in hiring a new coach... Thats refreshing to hear that at such a big program the athletes' voice have some clout!
