Women's Track Coach Bob Maybouer Relieved of Duties
Directed women’s track and cross country team since 1985
YPSILANTI, Mich.- -Bob Maybouer, the head women’s track and cross country coach at Eastern Michigan University since 1985, has been relieved of his coaching duties, effective immediately, Interim Athletics Director Bob England announced today. A search for his successor will begin immediately.
Maybouer was named EMU’s head women’s track and cross country coach, Feb. 27, 1985. He led his women’s track teams to 22 Mid-American Conference titles in indoor and outdoor track and was named MAC Coach of the Year seven times in track and once in cross country. During his 21 years at the helm, Maybouer produced three NCAA champions: Mireilla Sankatsing, Savatheda Fynes, and Lela V. Nelson
