Katie Hawkins from University High School is my hero! She jumped 11'7 yesterday. She was on a 12'4 145. Her series was: 10, 11, 11'7, 12. She had 3 SO SO close attempts at 12. Her first attempt at 12' was the closest, just barley knocking it on the way down. She is jumping higher and higher everyday, watch out 13' feet!

Kjersti Gedde, of Olympia High, jumped 11'6" yesterday. It was a 12'6" 130, gripping down two fists. She looked great on all her jumps, but blew threw her pole 3 time at 12'... Looks like it will be a pretty exciting competition for 4A girls State Champ!

Wow! Katie is on fire.

Jared, what was her progression when she made 11'6? I was thinking she might have had a lot of jumps that day since her previous best was about 10'6. Did she go in 3" intervals after 10'6?

What kind of breakthrough did she have to start jumping so high?

Also, for those of you who haven't met Katie, I've spoke with her breifly a couple of times and it was plainly obvious that she is an outstanding person.
