For a Bret Harte athlete, Kyle Inks sure seems to be comfortable on the Calaveras High track.
During Thursday’s rivalry dual meet in San Andreas, Inks set a new Mother Lode League record in the boys pole vault by clearing 15 feet, 9 inches. With the jump, Inks broke his own MLL record of 15-02, which he set at last year’s league championships in Sutter Creek, and also extended his personal record by three inches.
