X-Treme Vault
From staff reports
New Braunfels — More than 50 of the nation’s emerging elite pole vaulters will catapult to the Texas Ski Ranch on July 19, for the Lone Star Athletics X-Treme Vault Competition. The competition will be fierce with age groups ranging from beginners to the more experienced divisions.
“Pole vaulting is the next extreme sport and we are excite about this partnership with the Texas Ski Ranch, as it is the perfect venue,” Kris Allison, Athletic Director, Lone Star Athletics, said. “This event will showcase some of the up-and-coming talent that this nation has to offer.”
Among others slated to participate are Allison Daily and Jessica Doyle. Others included Olympic hopefuls from the River Vault, Adam Pierson, Chris Steddum and Angela Aguilar.

I'd like to know when I made those quotes for that article. I never once spoke to the San Marcos Daily Record about X-Treme Vault, I don't believe pole vaulting is the next extreme sport, and we didn't have near 50 emerging elite vaulters. We had NCAA champ Maston Wallace and some good high schoolers. It was a good time.

Hey, wait a minute. You had us fossils there too. j/k!
Awesome event with fantastic conditions. Too good for me as I blew through four poles on four jumps.

Wish I could of made it Kris always puts on great events. $4 gallon gas is killing me and the rest of the summer travelers,
I have only made it out of the state once this year. Sucks cuz I have been jumping really good this summer too.

I understand the gas crunch, I'm local and it was definitely a bite in the budget to drive an hour and a half away. Kris pulled off another great event though, glad I was there. No real big jumps, but Kris put on a real pole vault community affair, plenty of warm up time, the accomadating business was very hospitable and great jumping conditions. I salute the Allison family for staying comitted to putting this event out in different locales, that was a lot of work to pull off, mobilizing two pits and two runways so soon after the river vault. Thanks Kris and the rest of your crew for a great day.
