Lone Star Pole Vaulting is proud to host the 2nd Annual San Marcos River Vault pole vaulting competition.

Held at Sewell Park on the Texas State University Campus, our meet will feature the beauty of the San Marcos River coupled with pole vaulting competitions on 2 runways for all ages and abilities, and music in the background. To see the park, go to http://www.maps.txstate.edu/images/qtvr ... _04_02.mov , left click and hold down while you scroll your mouse across the screen for a panoramic view.

All athletes will be lined up and introduced preceeding each competition, and their accomplishments mentioned while being called up to jump.

Our main event will be the Grand Prix Pole Vault Circuit Elite Competiton, featuring some of the U.S.'s best up-and-coming elite vaulters, some of whom have competed in the Olympic Trials. Men and women will compete together on the same runway with a split bar format for prize money and points. For more information about the Grand Prix Pole Vault Circuit, go to http://www.polevaultcity.com/GPPVCircuit/gppvmain.htm

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 places in each division. Entry into the competition is $20.00 and includes a t-shirt. Spectators are free. Concessions will be sold, but bring your own lawn chair.

Entries will be accepted online and credit card payments via PayPal encouraged. Keep checking www.lonestarpv.com for more information. Day of meet entries will be accepted for $30.00.

The River Vault now has a website where you can sign up and see who is competing.

It's going to be really cool. The elite high school competition will go on the next runway at the same time as the big elites. They will also do a split bar, so the best high school girl vaulters will get to jump head to head with the best high school guy vaulters to prove who is the best!

Anybody willing to put up two college pole vaulters up for the 22nd, for this meet? My friend and I are in need of finding a place to stay the night before the meet. Can anyone help? If so, pm me.
