Well since I don't know Jack about other events, I'll predict it here:
Men:
1. Giuseppe Gibilisco at 5.85
2. Tim Lobinger at 5.80
3. Björn Otto at 5.80
4. Aleksandr Averbukh at 5.75
5. Toby Stevenson at 5.70
6. Piotr Buciarski at 5.70
Gibilisco takes it again. The kid is still probably riding high from last year. I venture to say he becomes the man to beat this year. Lobinger has too much experience to not medal or not get over 19'. But i don't see him doing much more than that. Otto has 3 marks over 5.70 already and 1 over 5.80. Will continue to give his veteran German comrade a run for his money. Averbukh is always consistent. Could go a lot bigger than 5.75, but thats where i'll keep him for now. Toby's been having a great indoor season, but lacks the international championship experience. I'd sure love it if he proved me wrong. Anyway, 5.70 is no walk in the park. Europeans might be a little too foo-foo for his "ride" anyway. Buciarski, a personal favorite, chimes in on the international scene with a 5.70. Been far too consistent jumping 5.60 when well over it to not get that 5.70 mark now. He's ready for 5.80 so he'll be my wild card. Noticably missing of course is world leader hartwig. I don't know what to say, i just don't see him doing much of anything.
Women:
1. Yelena Isinbayeva 4.87 WR
2. Svetlana Feofanova 4.80
3. Annika Becker 4.70
4. Stacy Dragilia 4.60
Yelena's turn this week. She jumps new WR by 2 cm, then raises it to 5m for some close attempts. Svetlana pushes the height required for gold over 4.80 for a great battle between the two Ruskies. Becker blows up 4.70 and Stacy cleans up one spot out of medal contention with a disappointing 4.60.
