Dude,

Can't go wrong with UCLA. AC is the real deal. Also, Texas Tech has a real good foundation lots of good vaulters. I would be willing to bet Coach Hood would gladly let you share practice time with his guys and gals. At SWT he was always forthcoming with guest vaulters, and even coached them and use poles for free! I think that would be a great group to tap into.

Coach James at UGA has a club. George Rodriguez has a club in Fort Worth , TX (same city as TCU).

400

Other than 400 - not much there for track - the rest all have possibilities -all depends on your schedule - commute time - etc. - I seemed to find places wherever I got transferred -

i used to be in AFROTC my frosh year at UC and the office overlooked the track. Now that buildin is a parking garage and that track currently doesnt exist, but it'll be back in comission in August, hopefully beter than ever

At UC Davis, the ROTC office is actually closer to the track than the locker room, and they leave the pits out almost year 'round. Can't say there are a bunch of active open vaulters there, though although many live in the Sacramento area.

Yes, much to the disgust of everyone in San Marcos. Kris has a great club in San Marcos, I am spending the summer there :D

Ok so I didn't get my top 3 choices, UCLA being one of them.

Here's the stuff that is leftover:

Univ Southern Alabama
Northern Arizona
Univ Central Florida
Purdue
Univ Iowa
Worcester Poly Tech Inst.
Univ Missouria-Columbia
Clarkson Univ
St Joseph's - Philly
Wilkes Univ.
South Dakota
Norwich
VMI

I was thinking, Northern AZ which is close to Sky athletics, Purdue, Iowa, Mizzou, or WPI. Does anyone know the coaches at these schools and what the likelihood of letting a post-college athlete practice? I will be considered faculty if that helps.

any ideas would be appreciated.

Wilkes University is in Wilkes-Barre, PA, my hometown, and i believe they are cutting or have cut the AFROTC program due to low enrollment numbers, plus theres no where to vault there either. and the city is gross. so dont go there.

Purdue just got a new head coach, but I know the vault coach there. His name is Rodney Zuyderwyk ( http://purduesports.collegesports.com/s ... ney00.html ) . He's a good guy and knows the vault pretty well. The vault facilities there are great too. ( http://www.purduepv.com/fac.php ). He can be contacted at zuyderwyk@purdue.edu

I'm a bit biased because I graduated from there, but its a great campus and has excellent academics.

Aah, somebody contact the AFROTC Det commander at Purdue and tell them I need to come to this school! Those are outstanding facilities, where were you on my original post?

Oh well, keep your fingers crossed I may get it.
