Well it looks like you are definately gonna need at least 19 to make it to the olympics.

WOW! So many over 19'.

I agree with Russ, I think that pole vaulters clean image really helps out the sport. It puts us on a level higher than others that many people can respect.

Great meet. Toby smoked 19' and had pleanty on 19'4". Definately looked best out of all of them. Hartwig looked very solid through out the whole comp. Brad just kept blowing through his sticks. Markov was lots of fun to watch, managed to just sneak over every height.

Tommy just never seemed to get in a rhythm today, making both 5.50 and 5.60 on a third. His second attempt at 5.60 though had about 18" of hip height before clipping it off on the way down. Even so you could definately tell he was the youngster of the bunch.

Stacy had 3 great attempts at 16'. She'll easily get it soon.

yeah, i was pissed about not showing the mens vault. the only events they didnt show were the mens hj, pv and hammer. looks like they have something against the men's vertical jumps. the mens 100 and 110h were very exciting and the mile was a great performance. good coverage except leaving out the most important event

Hey, nobody seems to be paying attention to the womens results... wasn't that Jillian's first 15 footer? If so doesn't that make 4 new women over 15 feet in the last couple months? There is gonna be some tuff competition on the women's side now also for the trials!

Jillian jumped 15 earleir in the season, I know she did at the indoor world championships. I think the american women 15 footers are Stacy Dragila, Kelly Suttle, Jillian Schwartz, Chelsea Johnson, Mary Sauer, and Andrea Dutoit.

But did you notice that Jill made 15 from only 6 lefts, wonder how many have done that??

You can add Tracy O'Hara to that list. Also Mel Mueller jumped 15' but shes retired now.
