It would be nice to see who the slowest/highest jumpers are. Much of everyone's thoughs are headed in the right direction with speed. But I want to know who the slowest vaulter is that jumped pretty high. Anyone have their numbers?

i jumped 520 and cant even get close to touching rim.
i realize that 520 isnt really high and im not refering to speed but i bet most people that have jumped that have probably touched rim.
has anyone on the board jumped higher but still not graped rim??
vaultnchris probably has a good vertical but may be in that category.

there i s probably some tall dude who wasnt real fast but jumped really high
jeremy scott runs pretty efficiently for a big dude so probably not him.
any monsters with good technique who werent very fast??

Gorbatenko from UTEP (El Paso) back in 1998 (saw him jump at NCAA's in Buffalo). Slowest human being on the face of the earth jumping over 5.20. Ask AchtungPV!

Gorbatenko jumped 5.50. Saw him jump 5.40. If he could run a 13.0 100m I'd be amazed. The first time I saw him on the runway, I thought he was doing some high knee plyo drill with his pole, but he took it up! He did have a free and aggressive takeoff.

Correction: Gorbatenko was the slowest over 5.50. Pete Kovacs was/is the slowest over 5.20 :P

Pete rocks!

I've jumped 5.40, but I've never been close to touching the rim in basketball. I've tried over the years and knew that it would be a good sign for me if I did, but it never happened. I can't ollie that high either in skateboarding. Take some notes: it's possible to jump over 520 without hops, but it's not a good thing. lol

Talking about touching a rim. I used tobe able to take two steps jump of two feet and dunk two handed. Now if I jumped off my left foot similar to pole vaulting I couldn't even come with in 3" the rim. If I jumped of my right foot I could at least grab the rim. Kind of made me think about tryiing to jump left handed.
