Spencer was having to much fun at UNC this weekend. Flipping and spinning over bars on nearly every jump. He's always a sight to watch. So if you see him at a meet, keep the camera rolling even in warmup's.

Chris Steddum won at 17' 6 and change, with Chase Shealy second at the same height, and Spencer third. Chris and Chase both made some good attempts at 18' 1.25". This cool vault of Spencer's was during competition. Not his most impressive display off of a pole, but it shows his incredible body awareness. He makes it look so easy, so smooth.

Spencer, Chase and Conrad were working out on Monday and Spencer impressed some people by sitting on the floor with his legs out in front of him, then put his "fingertips" on the floor. He raised up and pulled through in a pike position and went up into a handstand... on his fingertips. Rick Moore PV Coach at Franklin County HS in GA told me the other day, "When Spencer dies he should donate his body to science."

Haha the flip. I can't get far enough on the fingertip thing to hurt myself ;)

Me either. I'd probably never be able to use my fingers again. :crying:

On the way to UNC, Spencer told us that he caught a squirrel. It ran up a big live oak tree and he chased it up the tree jumping from limb to limb, back down and all around, until the squirrel just gave up. Sort, of like the squirrel said, "OK... you caught me, now go ahead and eat me." LOL :D

  Two thumbs up for anyone who can run down a squirrel.
