Galfione is still jumping. I think he's competed twice this season with a best of 5.50 or so. He had both Achilles repaired a year or two ago.

Gibilasco has been pretty quiet since indoors.

I'm more concerned with Michael Stolle of Germany, who I think is one of the most entertaining vaulters to watch. He took fourth at both the 2000 Olympics and the 2001 outdoor world champs, and he had good hip height over the heights he went out on at both meets, just came down on the bar. Unfortunatly he didn't make this years team. It seems as though Germany has a dilemma similar to us in the states: So many good vaulters, and not enough roster spots.

Why is Stolle entertaining? I have never seen him jump

Stolle has been injured for several years now. He landed in the box at the indoor world championships where he placed second in '03.

I wonder if he retired. His webpage is now blank: http://www.michael-stolle.de/

If so, it's a shame, I don't think he ever quite reached his potential. PR 5.95, 19-6.25.

giuseppe is hurt right now, I think. He recently had a season ending injury...
