January 7, 2006 -- Stuczynski improves once again raiseing the bar another 2" (4.62m)
Original plans of attending Dartmouth this weekend were revised due to illness of Jenn Stuczynski. A shorter trip was taken to attend the Sharron Anderson meet in Toronto, Canada. Coach Suhr shortened Stuczynski's run from an eight left approach to a seven left approach. On this modified run, Stuczynski cleared 4.62m(for the imperial lovers, this converts to around 15'2"). We believe this height to put her second all time for a US woman indoors, only behind Dragila's many great jumps. Stuczynski made an attempt at 4.71m, but was fatigued from illness and, with the advisement of Coach Suhr, elected to forgo the rest of her attempts. Stuczynski has increased her indoor PR 5 times in 4 meets this year. Although poor circumstances, Stuczynski fared very well today.
