Babcock sets school record again

NEW YORK — For the second consecutive day, Norwich Free Academy’s Craig Babcock broke the school’s indoor pole vault record. He vaulted 14 feet Sunday at the National Scholastic Indoor Championship to finish 16th at the event.
The mark came one day after Babcock vaulted 13 feet, 6-1⁄4 inches to break the old school mark of 13-6, which Babcock also set.
Cory Calamari of Fitch vaulted 13-01⁄4 to place 23rd.
