INDOOR TRACK
Locals rule pole vault

NEW HAVEN — Kim Johnson of NFA and Spike Gibeault of Woodstock Academy won their respective pole vault competitions at the Connecticut USA Track & Field Indoor Championships at Yale University.

Johnson won the girls’ title with a vault of 11 feet. Gibeault cleared 13 feet to win the boys’ title.

Allison Sullivan, an eighth-grader at Norwich’s Kelly Middle School, vaulted 8-6 and placed sixth.

We Won!!! 65 points!... we can beat that next year... when i am able to do more events... and who knows maybe we will have more jumpers there!

Yea! Pretty funny when a pole vault club wins the meet! We are supposed to get like $75 for the women's win and $25 I think for the men's second place. How cool!

thats sweet!... who would have thought... and just think last year if i was under skyjumpers instead of what ever they put me under then we might have won then as well!... that meet is a fun meet!

well there are the USATF Junior Olympics in june... but after the association there are regionals and nationals... but you have to qualify for them

Hey bill, the junior Olympics require a usatf number, which you probably know, but i heard the usatf guys talking about how nobody shows up for the junior Olympics so, lets change that!
