Girls Only! Pole Vault Camp
Attn: Athletes, Coaches and Parents !
Attend the 5th edition of camp.
In preparation for summer competition, now is the time to develop skills and proper habits in young jumpers.
All ages of female jumpers are eligible through university.
9 AM-3 PM Saturday June 9, 2007
YOU WILL LEARN
1. Proper sprint technique in the pole vault
2. Sequence of drills to build confidence, skills, awareness
3. Proper posture and analysis of body movements
4. How to vault safely
5. Drills that can be done anywhere, anytime
6. A pre-meet warm up routine and checklist.
7. What a good takeoff, swing, and vault looks like.
8. How to manage approach, standards, and pole sizes
9. Where to go for vault information, camps, videos, research.
YOU WILL USE
1. Lawrence Central’s 4 Runways
2. Classrooms for video analysis
3. LC Computer Labs for Vault frame by frame, resources
4. 2-3 Pits as numbers dictate.
YOU WILL RECEIVE
1. A video of drills used at the clinic. New in 2007.
2. A handout/packet of drills as a reference guide.
3. Small group instruction.
A schedule of summer meets and/or places to workout during the summer.
A chance to vault (not just drills) with other top vaulters in the state!!!
New format in 2005. Girls over 10’6 will vault in am, before drill sessions.
