The pole vault event featured some spirited competition between Bellmont's Nic Lengerich and Hall of Homestead. Both vaulters were tied after having cleared 13'6 but both failed at 14'0. The bar was moved down to 13'9 and Hall cleared that but Lengerich, after having good attempts at 14'0 was unable to make 13'9.

Czerwinski breaks record

News Herald reports

Liz Czerwinski broke the school record in the pole vault for the Port Clinton girls track team while the Port Clinton boys track team posted a sweep in the shot put in a meet against Sandusky Bay Conference power Perkins Tuesday.

The Redskin boys fell to the Pirates 108-28 while the Perkins girls team topped Port Clinton 91-45.

Czerwinski broke the school record with a vault of 10-feet, 6-inches. Teammate Kristi Karner was second in the event.

Czerwinski was also second in the 100-meter hurdles
