Street Vault in downtown Kent, Ohio!!

There will be a exhibition street pole vault competition in downtown Kent on July 2nd as a part of the city's Heritage Festival.

that is the same day of the Clermont Pole Vault Showdown in Clermont, FLA. I wish I had known before hand or I would have made plans to go to that instead.

Ill be gonig, assuming thats not way too far away! About how far away do you think Kent is from southern michigan?

Detroit to Kent is less than 3 hours.

I'd have to say a little over three hours. From where you're coming from Adam, it'll be a little over 3 hours. We go down to Mansfield every year and it's just about 3 hours and Kent is a little farther.
Don't forget, you will be on the Ohio Turnpike for a long time. The speed limit is 65mpr and those cops are all over.

No word on the Akron folks yet, but Chris Smith (pr of 5.41m, University of Cincinnatti) is registered to jump.
