having problems turning

whenever i try to trun, i either shoot into the crossbar or i turn to late and im already over the bar when i start my turn, causing me to hit the crossbar with my hip. what can i do to help that get fixed?

Hang upside down with straight arms on a chin-up bar and do some pull turns while inverted. I am guessing your problem is more that you are not inverted while you are turning.
