I was wondering if anyone knew of any really good books about nutrition. I'm not talking about Oprah's carb conscious diet book or any crap like that. I'm talking about the super scientific, top-of-the-line, over-the-top, 900 page nutrition book. Any one know of any?

Food for Fitness: Eat Right to Train Right, by Chris Carmichael. i read that during my healthy eating craze a couple years ago, i recommend it.
i also read the Complete Idiot's Guide to Vitamins and Minerals, not a bad read either
yeah, i definately think both would be helpful to you

Hey heres the email my dad sent me for the book, you should check it out
Hey Jas - here's the second email I sent last week. dad
Hi Jas - I had a few spare minutes during my meeting so I took a
look at
amazon.com. This book (below) is written by some of the top
researchers
in the field (for the past 30 years). It's a serious textbook on
the
subject so will be pretty dense reading but serious athletes with some
basic biology background should be able to get a lot of useful
information
from it. I doubt they will find any magic solutions or quick fixes,
but
just some solid principles for nutrition, exercise and performance.
If
you end up studying exercise science in college, you'll probably find
yourself using this textbook in one of your courses. Love, Dad
