Last week I was having the best practice of my life, then the vault after I PR'd at 15' the pole broke, havent been able to go up since. As soon as I get to the box I won't plant the pole and go up (not even drag). Having a massive mental block right now any advice anyone can give me? I need to get past this mental block, some one has to have some advice.

start small. Don't try to go from your full approach. Do pop-ups, 2 step, 3 step, 4 step...etc until you feel comfortable at each approach. If you stay at short approaches for a while and slowly move back up, it should break your mental block.

more of the same.... That is totally the way to get back on... Let us know how it turns out. I popped a pole out of my hands once and ame thing happened.. it was a 14-6 175 carbon... i had to go back to a 14 155... from 4 lefts.... then 14-165 from 5 lefts... then 14-175 from 6lefts.... eventually i got back on it... took about one week! good luck!

Does it make you feel better to run through or actually plant the pole? Sometimes it's that simple. We usually tend to do what makes us feel good about ourselves. Start small and get back in the groove.

if you ever break a pole again (hopefully not) try to get back on a pole the SAME DAY if you're not injured. Even small stuff still...
