They only showed RL's 6.05 clearance on TV last night, and his 3 attempts at 6.16 (which would have tied his WR).

This was the usual poor PV coverage.

I wonder why he didn't go for 6.17?

I also wonder if Shawn Barber was there, or if not then why not?

Barber wasn't there because he was at the East Region Preliminary Round in Jacksonville to qualify for the NCAA Final. I don't think college athletes are allowed to enter into Diamond League meets while they're still in school.

Barber is still in college. He was at the east prelims this weekend in FL.

Not as active as Lavillenie at take-off but still a great margin over the bar! He'll be in Rome DL on Thursday, together with Lavillenie bros, Holzdeppe, Filippidis and Wojciechowski. Pizza night!

Thanks for posting the French feed, Canag. Way better coverage than US coverage! But then again, France had twice as many competitors in the event as the US!
