Southwest Airlines just started selling tickets far enough in advance to cover the Pole Vault Summit in Reno!

I booked mine today and got them for $242 from St Louis. The poles will cost $50 each way, but that is still better than most other airlines.

I really really recommend Southwest if you have to fly poles.

They're having a sale too, which will last through October 3rd.

I've never heard of anyone not being able to fit their poles on SW's planes. I don't think their policy specifies length.

Yup! It was like $92 each way, but with taxes and everything it came out to $242.

The poles will cost $50 each way, but if I end up taking poles for my teammates or whoever, they had better plan on helping me pay that.

I can remember a year ago i could have gotten a round trip flight non-stop from Seattle to Reno for $99! Now most flights are around $160 to $190 out of Seattle. I'm probably not going to book my flight until Nov. or so, as we always seem to get the best prices 1 or 2 months out from the date we ant to travel.

YMMV
