friday night i was over 12' by a foot and hit it coming down because i held onto my pole to long
now, today i was practicing today, and i felt like i was running the same and everything but i stalled out on the top and when i didnt i was still landing really far forward on the pit.
im just confused as to why i can vault perfectly fine and landing fine one day and then the next everything is out of whack even when trying to hold lower on the pole
just a bad day or what ?
thanks

No - just the normal experience for a novice.

hey

sounds like you came down on the bar in the meet because you where gripping to high.. not because you "stayed on the pole too long"...

i think your grip needs to be lowered until you are penetrating and clearing a bar 24 inches deep... whither it is practice or a meet...

then your techniques will start to come together...
