Check out the link to see the USA today ranking of 10 hardest things in sport. All are difficult, and number one isn't decided but my money goes to Big Wave surfing.

I'm interested in other opinions on the 'hardest sports'; technically, physically, interms of endurance...

I think a triathlon would be very difficult. Especially an iron man triathlon.
In terms of technique, gymnastics has to be one of the most difficult.

I'd have put Iron-man instead of marathon; and Tour de France, hour record in cycling, and biathlon near the top of the list for Endurance.
In the Technical department: well vault (obviously), and the oft ignored Hammer, gymnastics, and 5.14d rock climbing. (sticking with Big-wave too)
As for Physical: the kilo in cycling, 400 hurdles, summer-school class in Bio-medical ethics, (if physically painful boredom, qualifies in the category.)

Car racing is pretty hard, they have alot to be thinking about at 200mph. Im preety sure there is a lot of contemplating and adjusting before and during a race. Racecar drivers can't go to the bathroom either.

Car racing is tough. Have you ever tried to drive 500 miles without stopping to take a pee? Its rough on the kidneys.

A) They get so dehydrated from the engine heat that getting enough fluids
IN is much more of a problem!
B) What makes you think they don't pee if they have to?

pole vaulting is a lot harder than hitting a 90 mph fastball

Drivin a car is a MOTOR sport...........not a sport!!!!!!! It should not have even been on the list!! Please......I bet you could take 100 people and at least 25 would be able to drive a car fast..........but maybe.......just maybe 3 would be able jump 15' (remember this is a random sample of people they are refering to here not a sample of ATHLETIC people). Driving is a skill not a sport.

If hitting a 90mph fastball, or driving a racecar really fast (and competitive) were easy...then everyone would do it.
