Pole reccomendation

Ok, so basically I need a new pole. The one I've used in the past is way too old and beat up.

My height: 5'9
weight: 137
Bench max: 145lb
Previous Pole: 12' 140
PR: 10 (Yes I know it sucks, I never get to actually vault and I have no coach but I am getting better with each meet)

Everyone whom I've talked to tells me I could easily jump 13 if I got my form down and had a coach, the 12' pole feels really small to me when I use it so based on all of this I hope someone could help me out.

How high were you gripping on the pole when you cleared 10'?
Where were your standards?
Have you grown taller/bigger since then?

First things first, before you buy a longer pole.
There are a few things you should look at.
As a coach I look at three things.
1.Is the vaulter jumping on a pole 15 to 20 pounds above his/her weight? If not then we need to work on there run, plant and takeoff.
2.Where is the vaulter landing on the pit? (Front, back, right, left or center). Where you land on the pit is very big dill. If you are not landing in the center of the pit, a longer pole will just give you more problems then you will like.
3.Where is there stander placement? If they are not vaulting with there standers on 24 to 31. They are not ready for a longer pole.
ACvault: I thing the size pole your on is right but if it’s not in good shape then you need to replace it. I would call the manufacture of the pole and ask if I could send the pole to them to check it out. It will coast shipping for them to check it out for you..
But if you work on four things run, plant, and takeoff and if you lean to jump with the standards at 24 or more, you will be ready for a bigger pole soon.
The next pole up will be a 12-160. Lean to jump on this pole with you standards on 24 or more and then you will be ready for a longer pole.
Hope that’s what you are look for and good luck on your up coming season.

uh...i think 15.5 inches, very old ucs pole (green)
im landing in the center of the pit, but you're right, the pole is so old and banged up I feel that if I don't go up in height on the pole it is a waste since i barely have a pole vault program to begin with. plus, i was getting more bend than usuala on the pole today at practice, and i'm somewhat worried it might break, and NO my weight is not over the label on the pole

a little off topic....but did UCS ever make green poles? I always thought they made them w/ white wraping.....could it be a sky pole?
