Comparing flex numbers between spirits and carbons

I know you can' do it, but I'm wondering if people here know in general how the flex numbers compare to one another. Let me explain.

I have a 15' 180 pacer carbon which I have been using (16.9 flex). Last week I used a 15' 175 spirit (16.5 flex) and next week I'll have access to a 15' 180 (15.8 flex I believe). My question is where, in your opinions, does this pole stand. Do pacer carbon's usually have higher (softer) flex numbers compared with a spirit of the same length and weight? Thoughts?

The 15'180 Spirit will feel ~5lbs stiffer than the 15'175 Spirit :P

The flex numbers are roughly comparable between the two brands at 13'/14'/15'/16' because they flex on similar spans, but the sail pieces and such are not the same, especially comparing Carbons to glass poles. Two poles could have the same flex number but respond differently because of how they were built.

Unfortunately, the best way to learn is by trial and error. Fortunately, all of those poles are fairly close to each other in size, so even if one is a little stiffer or softer than anticipated, you should be OK.
