Cleaning the Pits

Has anyone ever washed the pits before? I am looking to clean ours, they are very dusty and dirty. I am thinking of just taking a stiff broom and a bucket of soapy water, but am not sure if this is the best way. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Leaf blower and something to beat the surface.

Call the manufacturer. They could tell you what they recommend, or don't recommend to use to clean it. When the foam inside gets really wet we all know how hard it can be to get it dry.

haha...

In all seriousness now. A lot of pits are designed so you can take the foam out of the cover. If you take the foam out then you can just spray down the plastic covering with a water hose or something. One pit I was jumping at had a bad problem with fire ants building nest inside of them so we had to take them apart to get the ants out.
