Im not great with the shoe science
& track season starts soon here in FLorida (sniff sniff
no winter track) . Im definitely getting a new pair of spikes, but what should I look for for pole vaulting? If anyone could help...
(oh yeah I normally do pv and triple jump, or thats what I like to do, but my coach throws me into hurdles and sprinting too)

Eastbay.com
You can get a pair of Pole vault spikes for $60. Although they are from 3 years ago, it is still a good buy because the only differance from the new model is the colors (red and black are the new ones and the old ones are white, orange, yellow and black), and $30.

Some expensive stuff those shoes are, I still do stuff in my Nike Pegasus shoes. And those are indoor track only.

I like Reebok's the best. I also work out with some kids who say the Nike's are good, too. I have been wearing my Reebok's for 3 seasons now and they are still holding up.

My first pair of asics fell apart after about a year and a quarter... but my current pair (they are mid distance spikes I think) has lasted since the summer of 2000... and I practice in them when I vault!

yeah, i like asics stuff. it holds up pretty well. i think the only reason mine are falling apart is because i run, vault, high jump and now long jump in them too. lol
