Im not sure on the actual rules but it seems like you would want a runway like material like a roll out runway or even an old conveyer belt

Right, like the ones they jump on at Reno. I'm asking is it legal in HS. Will a record broken be honored if it was jumped on a board runway.

I'm going to call them tonight, I had to wait until they had they're monthly meeting. They would love to have us there. I just have to make sure we have insurence for it.

I have my laptop today, so you can look at your jumps today at practice.

In Texas it is not legal for records but since everybody has the same advantage it is legal for meets.

A board runway is built with usually wood. It's raised up about a foot off the ground along with the pitt and it uses a role out runway on top. They are mainly used at Street Vaults and indoor meets. "Reno Pole Vault Summit"

so how would they be illegal for records, it dosnt seem like leverage would be diffrent.

Some say it gives an unfair advantage because the runway has a spring to it while you are running and on your take-off.

You can run faster on a harder surface than a softer one
