i weigh 133 and im using a 14' 135 spirit. i bend the hell out of it, so i hold alittle over a foot down and i still destroy it, but that makes it about a 13' 155 right? i also used a 13' 150 pole and couldnt get any pop either. i borrowed a 12'6 165 during indoor and seemed to get some nice pop, and i used a 14' 150 (but i needed a push

) and i seemed to get good pop. my question is, what do i have to do to get some "pop"? i see 170 lb guys getting a nice pop on 170 poles easily with bad form. are small poles just not able to fling you up over your hand grip? or is it just my poles? someone told me spirits are slow.
You get pop-Cappin at 15-30 lbs over your weight

If you tell me your vaulting with that pole anything under 12-9 or 13-0 on a run over a six or 7 step, and the standards better be buried..or otherwise the bend your experiencing should not be confused for goodness. You have other deficiencies causing the ben....like vault out, long last stride, no trail leg back, just sitting in a two legged cannon ball, hanging and waiting, never get proper rock back cause your butt never rotates aboveyour shoulders etc. If none of that is the case...then why ya holding so low get a 14-150 rais your grip 2 handholds and drive!!

i have heard before that i dont have a great trail leg, but even if i had perfect form, and held really low, or held anywhere on the pole, is it possible to get pop off of a 135?

Yes, it is possible to get "pop" off any size pole if you jump off the ground and swing. You will not get "pop" off even the stiffest pole if you do not swing well.

It's just all relative to the speed and form you have coming in. Weight ratings don't mean anything, they are just relative stiffness. A 135 does not mean anything without putting the length first. You probably are too tall to ever get pop off an 11'135.
The "pop" is just a function of having good technique in the vault and being on the right size pole relative to the forces you brought into it.

whoever told you spirits are slow is jumping on a pole well under their weight imo
