What makes you mad.

I feel that it is about time we all revolt. I am getting sick and tired of spending money going to track meets AND NOT BEING ALLOWED to film it. Stills are okay but no movies. Whats up with that. From no on we all should bring our camcorders and record, reguardless what they saw. Last time I looked there were no laws against it. Plus they never post it. If it isn't written it does not exist. Any comments?

Are camcorders not allowed on the field? or in the stands? and what kind of meet was it?

I've only heard of the rule where athletes aren't allowed to video each other, but i've NEVER heard of a rule of no videos in the stands.... thats really odd...

Most meets are pretty cool about recording as long as you do not show it to the athletes. What meets are you going to? USAs?

at NCAA's indoors they weren't letting anyone film without a coaches pass because i guess espn bought the rights to air it so they didn't wanna anyone else having the footage to distribute... because theres such a big marked for underground track films :dazed:

mighta been just cuz it was a big meet... or a well sponsored meet and they just didn't want footage being out there other than the footage that was paid for. cuz i know at meet's i was allowed to have people record my jumps and stuff, i just couldn't watch em during the competition.

That is generally true. I guess at Indoors they weren't letting spectators film either. It seems like that was the case at Outdoors in Austin last year as well.

The meets I am talking about are the USA Olympic trails, USA Nationals,
and any other of the big meets. What do they think, we are going to sell the rights. Likie someone said there is such a great demand for Track and Field in the US????
