actually i love my school pits! but they're way to heavy. fayme(guy in charge of our complex) put them away for the fourth of july, and i had to go on thrursday and drag them out and put them together by myself. those things are so heavy and water lodged it took me like two and a half hours. ugh

A suggestion...
Not to be a smartass, but the school might want to invest in the usual weather cover (assuming you don't have one) and some lawn pallets from sod or such. You can get them usually free from a home improvement center, and if the pits are placed on a buch of them, it will keep them off the ground by 4in or so. No more soaking up water!

no, we have a weather cover, and we use it everyday, but if we raised it off the ground then we would have to get extra padding to go around the box to make it legal, which we dont have. we had a meet at south whidbey once and matt, our coach spent like twenty minutes trying to make the pits legal, because they used the pallets underneath so there was a four inch space between the box and the pits
