Russia: 4 in top 10, 6 in top 25, 7 in top 100 (I actually take this to mean that either the Russians are not reporting their local results, or that not many of their local meets are worth points. Their only girl between places 25 and 100 is Kate Sultanova who is in college in the US).

It's not just based on height, it's based on performances at big meets, particularly international meets, which she is lacking.

this is why the iaaf does not acknowlede these rankings any more.they are invalid and a new system is going in place.i don't know why these are even on here being they have no validity anymore.aubbs 40 has a good point with stuczinski.this system has always been unfair to us vaulters.jenn s will not be ranked 8 in the world when t&f news comes out with the official rankings.she will probably be 3 or 4.you can not ignore the number 1 and 2 jumps behind only isi.not since july of 2003 has anyone finished the season within 3cm of the great isi.jenns held the highest jump in the world for over 2 1/2 months in outdoor this year even after isi jumped several times.stuczinski will be the first to have 2 jumps in the top 6 in the world and not be ranked no.2 in the world for the women.t7f news has been understanding on there rankings of injured vaulters in the past like rogowska last year and feo and drag in years past.some of these vaulters were not even in the top 10 in the iaaf but were justified in the top 5 in t&f news.i am tired of the us meets not counting and the europeans making out.reebock where jenn s made 16 was a grand prix meet.she was obviosly hurt the rest of the year.you can rank with any system which will have some kind of bias,but in the end hieght cleared is the only true measure.that is why we have records.the american will end up 3,4 but not 8 but everybody knows she is the only shot of beating isi and she is no.2 all-time.
