Arkansas Meet of Champions
Russellville, AR
Lexi Weeks jumped 14'02" on her first attempt to set a new meet record and state overall record yesterday in Russellville at the Meet of Champs. Tori Weeks finished 2nd with 13'06" and Nettleton sophomore, Rachel Milnes, PR'd to place 3rd with 12'06".
The Meet of Champs take the 7 state champions from each event plus the next 9 best performers from the state meets, giving us a field of 16. The state of the vault is as strong as it's ever been here in Arkansas. It took 11'02" to place in the top 8 for girls.
Lake Hamilton junior, Nick Johnson, PR'd at 15'10" to win the boys division with Jonesboro Westside senior, Michael Carr, finishing 2nd with 15'06". It took 15'00" to make the top 5.
